Target Back to School Shopping Spree

Volunteer for the Salvation Army Back-to-School Shopping Spree!

 

The annual Salvation Army “Back-to-School Shopping Spree” will take place Thursday, August 3 at the Colorado Mills Target. This event benefits Golden elementary and middle school children who are identified by school staff as being in need. We are expecting 70 children this year and already have 70 school backpacks filled with school supplies donated for this event!

 

There are two ways to participate:

 

•   Assist with shopping as a Chaperone. Shifts start at either 8:00 am or 9:00 am and last about an hour. You will be provided with detailed instructions including the needs and sizes of your child.

 

•   Sponsor a child with a $100 towards the purchase of back-to-school clothing & shoes.  Write a check to First Presbyterian Church of Golden with “SA Shopping Spree” on the memo line.

  

This is wonderful way to help get kids off to a good start for the school year and it’s a lot of fun! You might consider inviting a friend to join you in this opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life.
